The Crescent Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has called on all Muslims in the State of Qatar to sight the crescent moon of the blessed month of Ramadan on Tuesday evening, 17 February 2026.

Those who sight the crescent are requested to visit the committee’s headquarters in the Dafna (Towers) area to provide their testimony. The committee will hold its meeting immediately after the Maghrib (sunset) prayer to confirm the start of Ramadan.
