Road users, take note of this new announcement by Qatar's Public Works Authority (Ashghal).
Starting tomorrow, October 18 there will be a partial traffic shift onto parallel lanes on Al Corniche Street (between Al Sheraton Intersection and National Theatre Intersection), Ashghal announced yesterday.
According to the authority, the shift will go into effect on Friday to facilitate construction works on the pedestrian underpass aimed at providing safe pedestrian crossings for the public.

The change is being implemented in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, and the traffic shift will be in place for six months.
During this period, road users coming toward Al Corniche Street from Doha and heading toward Al Dafna between National Library and Sheraton Intersections will be shifted onto parallel lanes.
