The excitement of the FIFA World Cup U-17 is already buzzing across Qatar, and the upcoming FIFA Arab Cup is set to take the energy even higher. The FIFA Arab Cup returns from December 1 to 18, 2025, bringing together 16 of the best Arab national teams. The highly-anticipated tournament will unfold across some of Qatar’s world-class stadiums. With high-energy matches, passionate crowds, and a festive atmosphere, this year’s Arab Cup promises an exciting month of football for residents and visitors alike.

The Tournament

The 2025 edition marks the 11th FIFA Arab Cup and the third time Qatar hosts the prestigious regional championship. Algeria are the current champions with having won the trophy in 2021.

Six major stadiums across Qatar will host the tournament.

The Teams

Sixteen nations, drawn from both the AFC and CAF, will contest the final tournament. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the knockout stage. The competition follows a familiar format: four groups of four teams, followed by quarterfinals, semi-finals, and the finals. Qatar, as the host nation, as well as the defending champions Algeria along with the seven highest-ranked nations at the time of the draw all qualified automatically. The remaining seven slots will be filled through a series of single-leg qualification matches to take place in Qatar in November.
